Separate company history from site history
Identify the company you are contracting with and the factory relevant to your project. Astra Electrical (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. was established in 2026 as the Vietnam manufacturing company of Kopen Group. Kopen’s establishment in 1977 is group history; it is not a claim that the Vietnam site has operated since 1977.
Understand the actual production scope
Astra’s published facility information describes a 1,200 m² site at Kizuna 2, with assembly, heating-component work, in-house injection molding and inspection. Discuss which operations apply to your selected model. The presence of equipment does not, by itself, confirm capacity, a particular test result or that every catalog product is already made at that site.
- Processes used for the selected configuration
- Parts and operations included in the project
- Proposed production location and origin documentation
- Open feasibility questions before quotation
Ask for a clear sample and inspection plan
Define the reference specification and the tasks the sample must perform. Agree on inspection criteria, packaging checks and the records needed at approval. Distinguish catalog statements from evidence for your actual configuration. Any certification or test documentation should be reviewed for the model, version and destination requirements that apply to your order.
Make the commercial boundaries visible
Request a quotation that states the tool configuration, accessories, artwork responsibilities, expected quantity and delivery scope. Separate tooling or development work from repeat production where relevant. MOQ, lead time and production availability need explicit confirmation; a generic factory profile cannot settle them.
Use a factory visit to resolve specific questions
Prepare questions about the operations relevant to your product, the sample workflow and the proposed quality checks. Ask which areas or process examples can be reviewed. A focused visit is more useful when it ends with an agreed list of remaining decisions and owners rather than just photographs.
Start with a concise project brief
Send Astra your product or reference model, target market, expected order quantity, customization and documentation needs. Include the sample tasks and the decisions you still need help making. This gives the team a concrete basis for reviewing a Vietnam manufacturing project.
